The Cheese Course
3451 NE 1st Ave #100, Miami, FL 33137
Breakfast or lunch, anyone can find something at The Cheese Course. Right across from The Shops at Midtown, it is a perfect stop for a mid-shopping lunch break. Or, as it turns out, a mid-anything cupcake break.
The Eats: I couldn't pick between the sandwiches, salads, and soups- so I went with 2 out of 3. The menu is huge.
The Goat Cheese Salad: fresh and the perfect size.
The Mushroom Brie Soup: some of the best creamy soup that I've ever had. It somehow wasn't too rich.
The Tomato Bisque: I don't even like tomatoes and I liked this soup. It's Renee's favorite soup ever.
The Cupcakes: Just don't pass them up. Trust me. I'd go with the chocolate, but they are all good.
The Environment: Farmhouse meets Whole Food's Cheese section. I love the rustic chic look and the laid back atmosphere. There are a few tables inside and you order your food at the counter. The outdoor area is a cute patio surrounded by greenery and makes you forget you are actually in a strip mall. It's perfect for a quick breakfast or lunch, but it's also quick enough for takeout. The selection of cheese, wine, condiments, and breads is fantastic. This is my new 'must stop shop' before having people over.
The Damage: For high quality cheese and meat? This is not bad! Everything that I have tried here is fresh and delicious. Cheese selections are usually on the pricier side but this is still way cheaper than a gourmet deli. For freshly baked bread and badass desserts, this is a good deal! Compared to to the trendy, up-and-coming restaurants in the area, this is going to be one of your more manageable lunch bills. Now, if you want to go home with 100 pounds of fancy cheese and 10 sandwiches... your bill might look like mine ;)
